Wow! How punishing a weekend was that!? Very windy and cold both Saturday and Sunday, but especially so on Sunday when we had some seriously good shooters at the ground. The weather seemed to be the winner though, as scores were overall lower than the standard. Some targets could honestly have been likened to sporting targets, it was that challenging!
We have to say, seriously, that despite the weather we are really pleased to have had such a great turnout both days, and particularly happy to have seen so many ladies at our ground. Some of these will definitely be challenging some of the top gents for sure in the near future! Watch out chaps!
Saturday’s weather-battered day saw Paul Cannon at the top of the scoreboard with a fine 99/292.
Sunday was even more weather bashed, but relative newbie Nick Haley and seasoned shooter Shaun Porter shared the top spot with 289’s. The shoot off for High Gun proved that experience counts, with Shaun holding strong to finish on top.
Well done Shaun!!

Nick’s efforts saw him win A class, which is a fine effort, Nick. We are sure there is lots more to come from this talented shooter.
Steve Janes took AA class, well done Steve!
B class was won by our club President, Dave Amos, top stuff Dave!
And C class winner was Tam Cochrane. Great shooting Tam!

All in all, it was fantastic to have so many smiling faces at the ground, all accepting that whatever we were able to do to make the targets perfect, the weather was always going to challenge that. Thank you all!! Great to be a part of!!
Huge thank you to Lewis Smith too!! Not easy to stand out in that weather and referee as well as you do!
