Shoot Reports and Full Results
Spring? Where did that go? We seemed to have gone back in time to winter this weekend with blisteringly cold winds and an abundance of snow!! The “Beast from the East part 2” was definitely a bit of a sequel!!
Saturday’s brave soldiers came forward, but not all were able to meet the required demands. Richard Faulds was the top gun on the day with a fine 96/283. Whilst this may not seem a particularly high score, it has to be said that the way the wind and the snow both drove straight into the faces of every shooter, this was a superb effort!! In fact, everyone who saw the shoot out deserves a mention, as it was no mean feat to shoot at100 straight registered targets in those conditions! Well done to all!
There was an extra burst of wintery weather overnight from Saturday through to Sunday, which wilted the number of entries significantly.
There was a trophy up for grabs, to be won by any Lady member of the club, and our most frequent Lady visitor took this trophy today, so a very well done to Karen Allen!!
High Gun went to Ian Flower, who was trying out a new gun on his first round, dropping 16 points in the process. Whilst everyone else was dropping a similar number of points here and there, and a good few more to boot, Ian returned to his usual gun and only dropped another 5 points out of the next available 225!! Great stuff Ian, and an indication of what to stick with.. maybe?
Ian’s brother Carl Flower won AA Class, top stuff Carl!
A Class was won by Shaun Pullman, whose progress has been superb!
B Class was won by Kevin Morley. Well done Kevin!
Pete Wilcox continued his fine run of form to collect the C Class winnings.
Amazing turnout for the weekend from hardened shooters who braved some extremely difficult conditions to try to shoot and improve themselves in even more difficult and penetrating weather! You really are true stalwarts of the shooting world!!
Thank you all for your support!!!
We are back at Bisley over the Easter weekend!
See you all then! …we hope!!
