Shoot Reports and Full Results

This weekend’s fabulous weather was matched by some fabulous shooting!

We had a great turnout on both Saturday and Sunday, so firstly thank you all for your support!

Lee Byard topped the score board on Saturday with an excellent 100/298. Great shooting Lee!!

Ian Coley was second with a fine 99/293 and Dennis Hudson third with a solid 98/290.

Saturday’s beautiful sunshine was matched and beaten by Sunday’s, and the Sunday scoreboard showed slight improvement too, with Phil Morgan taking High Gun with a superb100/299. Terrific performance Phil!

Nicky Waghorne and Ian Flower shared top spot in AA with 100/296 and 99/296 respectively. Ian took the club members’ High Gun prize of the Readhead Trophy in the process. Very well done both of you!

A Class was just as tightly contested, as Garry Foster and Paul Cannon equalled each other in top spot with 99/293 and 98/293 respectively. Great shooting chaps! And good to see some Dorset shooters returning to the club!! Dennis Hudson beat his score from Saturday, but could still only finish third in A class, proving how much tougher it is to get on the leader board on a Sunday.

B Class was won again by our own Dave Amos with a great 97/290, and a very close second was young Thomas Burns, Thomas posting a very fine score of 98/289. Stunning shooting from an up and coming talent!! Well done Thomas!

Winning C class has become a bit of a habit for Peter Wilcox, and he was not prepared to break that habit today, missing only two targets to finish on a brilliant 98/285 to match his PB. Well done Pete! (Caroline said well done Keef! lol!). And how great to see young Hermione Burns beat her personal best to come second in C class with 91/264. Well done young lady, great to watch!

All in all, a superb weekend of shooting, with top shooters shooting top scores, up and coming shooters showing they are up to the task, and wonderful to see more young shooters, lady shooters and disabled shooters coming along and showing their talent.

Thank you all, and the very best of luck to everyone who is going to Wales to shoot in the Kreighoff next weekend!
