Shoot Reports and Full Results

A brilliantly busy Bisley this weekend, with around 100 shooters participating across the two days! A fantastic turnout, thank you all!!

On Saturday we held our English Masters Single Barrel competition, and Dave Toomer shot an absolutely stunning 99 to win the Trophy! Top shooting yet again Dave!

Lee Byard came a close second with a very fine 96. and Tom Claydon came up from Somerset to post 94 and claim third spot. Well done you guys!

The Ladies High Gun on the day went to possibly our youngest current shooter at the club in Jess Byard! Amazing shooting Jess, finishing on a very creditable 79. The young female talent continued to show through with Hermione Burns coming second of the ladies with a notable 74. Well done young Hermione, and it looks possible there may be a potential future ladies England Team looming with Charlotte Morris also shooting well….

We also held a registered DTL shoot on Saturday afternoon, which was won by another young rising star in Haydn Coley, posting a superb 99/293, (although I think he was more happy to have beaten his grandad!!). Paul Cannon continued his fine run of form to finish second on 98/290, and Haydn’s grandad Ian Coley came in third with 97/289

Sunday was the turn of the Greater London shooters to take centre stage as we held the Greater London DTL Championship.

Greater London Champion was Dennis Hudson, with 98/289, which was a terrific score considering his battle with a bit of trigger freeze. Credit to him for finding a way to overcome this. Well done Dennis!

The Ladies and Colts title were both won by Hermione Burns, with yet another personal best score!! Well done Hermione! Keep it going young lady!! ( So young to be so good!! The future is bright here!!)

High Gun for the day was Tony Dore with an excellent 100/298. Great shooting Tony!

Dave Toomer was a point behind Tony with 100/297 to win AA Class, and Brian Vass matched that score to take A Class. Great to watch guys and well done!

Caroline Stanbrook has started to shine through lately and she put in a solid show to win B Class with 99/290. Great shooting Caroline!

And Thomas Beer put in a sterling performance to win C Class, shooting his first 75 straight, and finishing on 98/284. Great stuff Thomas!!

Fantastic weekend, and again thank you all for your support!

Massive thanks to Janine, Joe, Bill, Kevin and David for helping out and making sure we did not melt completely in the beautiful sunshine.

See you all in a fortnight!
