Shoot Reports and Full Results

Well it would appear the youngsters are starting to take over!! And we welcome that!

On Saturday we held the Single Barrel Championship for the Surrey, Sussex and Greater London Counties.

Surrey’s Champion was Charlie Martin with 90. Well done Charlie!
Well done also to Jo Watkins Hopkinson for picking up the Ladies title!!

Sussex Champion was Jon Butler, who also topped the scoresheet on the day with a terrific 95! Brilliant John!

Sussex Ladies Champion was Claire Milbourn! After fighting a long term illness, this was a superb achievement Claire! Excellent!

The youth were also present for the Sussex contingent, and Zac Welfare and Huey Fellows won Junior and Colts titles respectively. Great shooting lads and hope to see you both back at our club again soon!

However, our absolute star of the weekend was a young lady who not only improved on her personal best for Single Barrel competition, she also went on to shoot a twenty five straight in amongst her terrific rounds on her way to winning the Greater London title with a fabulous 91! Absolutely amazing to watch the composure and temperament of this young lady who keeps on improving week after week! And she only turned 13 years old the day before!! What a fabulous achievement Hermione!! Be very proud!! Greater London Single Barrel Champion has a nice ring to it, eh!

We also held a registered DTL shoot afterwards, and Paul Cannon topped the six shooters who entered that shoot with 96/281.

On Sunday the wind picked up, and made for a very interesting challenge.

Up for that challenge more than most was Nicky Waghorne, who managed to hit 100 straight with four barrels to finish on an excellent 100/296. Three of those four second barrels came in his first 25. Brilliant Nicky!

1st in AA was Ian Flower! Well done Ian!

1st in A was Nick Haley. Great shooting Nick!

1st in B was Perry Leamon – Well done Perry!

And 1st in C was another shooter who has had to overcome some recent health problems in Mark Baker. Great to see your progression Mark, after scoring your best score at our ground. Very well done!!

A special mention too, to young James Radford, shooting his first perfect 25/75 at our ground today, after posting a fine 81 in the single barrel shoot yesterday! Well done James, that is a fine accomplishment at a young age!

We are back in two weeks, and then two weeks after that we have our Bisley 200 over the Saturday and Sunday of that weekend. Very few spaces left for that weekend shoot, so phone to book in asap!!

Thank you all for your support, and thank you to Janine, Kevin and Dennis for your help!!
