Shoot Reports and Full Results
A scorching weekend in terms of temperature, but also in terms of some fabulous shooting!
Paul Cannon has been slowly creeping up the leader boards, and has also been putting in some study to develop his shooting prowess, and how this is paying off!!
On Saturday Paul topped the pile of our registered shooters with a fine 99/293, and then went on to shoot his first 100 straight, and also a personal best at Bisley on Sunday! ( his first official 100 straight was at Maylands, so no hat shoot!) Excellent Paul!
On Sunday we held our annual Steve Cole Memorial shoot and had a fabulous turnout.
Shaun Porter showed true grit to post a perfect 100/300 and take the High Gun Trophy. This was no mean feat, as although the sun shone strong, there was also a fair wind blowing across the grounds. Brilliant shooting Shaun! So good to watch!
AA Class was won by Ian Flower, who has been posting some fine scores at our ground over the last twelve months or so. Well done Ian!
A Class top spot was shared by Charlie Martin and the aforementioned Paul Cannon, who both posted a terrific 100/297. Well done guys!
Perry Leamon won B Class for the second successive shoot at Bisley with a superb 100/293. Brilliant Perry!
And another shooter from the South West Coast Region took the C Class Trophy with a fine 94/277, very well done Trevor Lake!
We have had some testing times recently, and have also had some people showing their true support for the club in the way they have stuck their necks out in times of some slight diversity.
So a big thank you to Kevin, Dennis, Dave, Janine, Bill, Malcolm, and the guys at the Clay Pigeon Company / LaPorte.
It has been occasionally difficult and there has been a little grumpiness, but we do feel we are moving forward well, so a huge thankyou to all for your support and help. We could not keep going without you!
And apologies to those who witnessed my grumpy side early on today! Onwards and upwards!!!!
